Meet MOCHi

Mochi is the Talley family’s beloved pet. Mochi was originally a stray kitten when he was gifted to our family. This orange tabby is named after the Japanese rice flour sweet Mochi! In its dessert form, MOCHI comes in a variety of delightful colors and filling combinations. Like this dessert, our pet cat Mochi has a soft, round and chubby physique. With his sweet and lovable personality, we figured that this name would fit him perfectly.

the Mochi team consists of 5 members. Aleyda, April, Sean, Kevin and kit. We are a close knit team who values hard work, compassion and dedication. Our founder Aleyda Talley is a hardworking mother who inspired us to start this clothing line. As an immigrant from the 70s, she not only worked hard to create this brand, but she also pushed herself to become an amazing and caring mother. April, Sean and Kevin are three siblings who worked towards making their mother’s dream come true. As Multicultural Americans, They have always tried to represent Their Nicaraguan and Japanese cultural roots and traditions. Kit is our beloved designer and has practically became a member of the family. Over the years he has helped make our design ideas come to life! All together, us 5 make up the beloved mochi designs team!

Mochi designs is a clothing line inspired by modern Japanese street fashion. All together, our team works to bring this unique style to the American audience. Japanese street fashion has been a style that displays both unique and head turning designs. When our founder decided to pursue her love of fashion, she looked to Japanese street style as one of her biggest inspirations. We hope to give our customers an opportunity to dress fashionably while also keeping true to their unique personalities and styles.
